Do you have a question about your marquee hire or service? Please take a look at the list below of the most frequently asked questions regarding marquee hire:
How far in advance do we need to book?
This really depends on the size of your event and whether it is date specific. For weddings we would recommend booking at least 18months in advance particularly for peak season (June-Sept) at this point we would only take a date deposit and an full deposit 12 months before the date. For small events and other events we suggest the earlier the better to ensure we have the stock and can provide the service.
What size marquees do you stock?
We stock a range of 3m, 4m, 6m, 9m, 10m and 12m wide stock. This allows us to build a marquee that works for the number of guests and ground provided. Our traditional comes in 30ft wide and can be built into 4 sizes. Please see our marquee section for more information.
How big should I have the marquee?
The marquee can be as big or small as you would like. We provide an average seating for both seated and standing on our brochure. For weddings in a clearspan marquee we suggest going a minimum of 2 sizes bigger then what you require. This ensures nobody is seated on the dancefloor and allows for your additional evening guests.
Im not sure what size marquee?
If you are unsure about the level of the ground or the size of the marquee, then please contact us today to arrange a free site visit. Our specalist team can then help you select the best part of your venue to place your marquee.
What are my flooring options?
Although in a marquee you do not have to have a flooring put down, for formal events or parties we would recommend either a coconut matting or carpet flooring. This helps to complete the look of your event and in the unfortunate case of bad weather protect clothing and footwear.
What type of dance floors do you stock?
If you check out our dancefloor page, this breaks down the information in more detail, however we currently stock 3 types of dancefloor, standard wooden, parquet wooden and black & white. All dancefloors start at roughly 4m x 4m but can be built to cover bigger areas if required.
What are linings and do I need them?
Linings are a fabric based linings that goes inside the frame of the marquee. These are used to cover the metal framework and pvc. We highly recommend linings are used for weddings, however this is only a recommendation and various other options can be discussed with you.
When is the marquee set up?
This varies per client however for a rough guide we aim to try and set the marquee up at least 2 days before the event and then take down 1-2 days later unless previosuly agreed.
